You may not hear them on the radio very much, and that's wrong (working on that). They are the most uplifting and funky band who perform LIVE better than most. I would seriously advise you investigate Michael Franti & Spearhead. They are the band I put on if I'm having a bad one, the feeling has never been tangible before..... but this little kid displays how Franti & Spearhead's make me feel. Hey diddle diddle to the people in the middle!
This morning we were chatting about Bono during 'Dish De Durt'. So later I was answering calls for the competition and a woman says "Hello, is that The Colm & Jim-Jim Show?.... hold on I have someone here for you...."
Next thing I am talking to Bono, yes... the real Bono from U2... but I think it might be a messer. So I ask him a tough question about a song he sang with Prince and he's right! He DID murder 'The Cross' in The Pod in 1995!
Then I invited himself & Ali to the wedding (Shaz & me got engaged in New York last week, chuffed by the way!) and I think he said he'll pop in and sing for us......?
Anyway, I tell Colm & Damo that Bono is on line one and various swear words are exchanged... and we go live. (Listen to clip above)
Afterwards I chatted briefly to Bono off-air and he says he loves the show and listens with the kids on the school run. He followed us over from the other place. God Bless him.

Back in September, I did a parody of 'Crazy' by Gnarles Barkley for the Rugby World Cup called 'The Irish Are Crazy'. This was back when we all had hope that we would at least get into the quater-finals.
So the song goes down well and then dies a death (along with the hopes for the team) and that was the end of that. It was no 'I'm Mick McCarthy's Baby' but it wasn't bad.
Then I get an email from Conibonjovi saying that it has been recorded on by a bunch of messesrs in America and then posted on You Tube and nearly 10,000 people so far have viewed it and there is a big argument breaking out on the comments by mainly Americans.
Below is the 'REMIX' by some funky dude musicians using the original as a backing track. they are all over the shop musically but I'm honoured!
